Fr. Mauro Gutierrez studied philosophy and theology in Spain, where he
became a priest in 1963. After a year of priesthood, he returned to
Mexico to in the Redemptorist Minor Seminary of San Luis Potosi. He
lived and ministered in several Redemptorist communities of the Province
of Mexico and preached missions throughout Mexico, and in Peru,
Colombia, and the United States. He was director of vocations for
eleven years. Fr. Mauro joined the Redemptorist Mission Team in
Chicago, IL in the spring of 2006.
